Upon production and submission of the corroborating evidence, POSCO won the confirmation of the Petroleum Ministry for rendering services including detail engineering, supply and provision of goods, commodities and equipment as well as executing drilling operations and accessory services related thereto.

A report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, the Deputy Managing Director for Engineering, Research and Technology of the Petroleum Ministry circulated and published a Pre-Qualification and Capability Accreditation Notice in connection with drilling companies. Subsequently, POSCO produced, completed and presented the required documentation and evidence and consequently managed to win the confirmation of the Petroleum Ministry. Upon winning the said confirmation, POSCO, similar to Petropars which holds the Accreditation Certificate as an Iranian E&P Company, will be authorized to take part in all tenders related to oil and gas drilling operations and there will be no need for POSCO to pass competence confirmation stage
